Intermol 505

Mold release agent for the manufacture of headliners.

Intermol 505 is a semi-permanent water-based mold release agent. It cures and reticulates on the hot surface of the mold, forming a very stable (up to 300°C) and resistant film, guaranteeing multiple molding cycles.

Benefits

Intermol 505 is a release agent for manufacturing headliners (thermo-acoustic insulators) with phenolic, epoxy or isosyanate resin.

Instructions

Before applying Intermol 505 on the mold surface, it must be carefully cleaned to guarantee the correct adhesion of the product.

Intermol 505 can be applied:
a) with a mold preheated to a temperature higher than 70°C.
b) with mold at process temperature.
It is recommended to cure the mold by applying release agent 3 times before making the first piece.

Do not apply in excess. Excess release agent does not improve the release effect, on the contrary, it can deform the piece.

Precautions

Do not expose to low temperatures, as they break the emulsion and render the product useless.
